Delays For COVID Vaccine Appointments at Brandon Supersite
The UCT Room in the Keystone Centre is Brandon’s supersite for vaccinations. The facility is currently not making any new appointments.
A spokesperson for the provincial government said that new bookings were being delayed.
According to the vaccine update, it said: “additional super-site appointments will be available for booking in the coming days.”
Dr. Brent Roussin, Manitoba’s chief public health officer, said he was even limited on the information on why there were delays.
According to the spokesperson, appointments are only made a few weeks into the future based on the vaccine supply coming to Manitoba, as well as the eligibility criteria.
The Brandon Sun reports that late last week, a similar problem occurred, which was apparently resolved, and people were able to book an appointment after a brief delay.
There is no information on when the Brandon site will once again open for bookings.
