Brandon Police Make Several Arrests In a 24 Hour Span

Possession of Weapon
Shortly after 1 p.m., Saturday afternoon Brandon City Police received a report of a female in the east end asking for a ride downtown. The subject seemed very confused and lost. Officers attended the area and located a 19-year-old female. It appeared she was high on meth. She had a can of bear spray in her possession.
She was arrested and lodged. She was released to appear in court on May 6, 2021, on charges of Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and Carry Concealed Weapon
On March 20, 2021, at approx. 6:30 pm police were called to the 400 blk 23rd St for an intoxicated male. Police attended the area and located a 29-year-old man, who admitted to drinking alcohol and taking meth. He was bound by a court order not to consume. He was arrested and held overnight and will be released to appear in court on May 10, 2021, on charges of Disobey a Court Order.
On March 20, 2021, at approx. 11:30 pm police conducted a pedestrian check in the 900 blk Rosser Ave. The subject had an outstanding warrant of arrest for Fail to Attend for Ident. He was arrested and then released to appear in court on May 17, 2021.
On March 21, 2021, at approx. 3:30 am Thompson RCMP advised they arrested a 27-year-old male on a BPS warrant for Unlawfully at Large. He was held in Thompson to appear in court this morning.
On March 21, 2021, at approx. 4:36 am police were called a house in the 100 blk Rideau St. for a highly intoxicated 17-year-old female. Police had attended several other times throughout the night regarding this youth.
Given all other attempts to deal with the youth failed, she was arrested for consumption by a minor and held at BPS until sober.
She will be issued a PON when sober.
