First Cruise Night Event of 2021 is a Hit!

There aren’t many better ways to shake off the COVID blues than a classic car cruise. The weather might not have been the best but the cool damp conditions couldn’t keep more than 50 vehicles and their owners from participating in the first cruise night event of 2021.

The hour-long cruise started at the old Zeller’s parking lot at 34th and Vitoria and took the BACE group all around the city before heading out west on 1a and coming back into town via the Grand Valley Road.

The residents of Sokol Supportive Housing really enjoyed the parade of classic and custom vehicles despite the cool temperature. The drivers wrapped up the evening at Twisters Ice Cream Shoppe on the corner of 18th Street North and Parker Boulevard where we were treated to 20% off coupons for Twisters and the Mariachi food truck.

Thanks to everyone who brought food or donated cash to help out the Elspeth Reid Family Resource Centre, they really appreciate your support.

These cruise nights are in lieu of the downtown show n’ shine style events which have been cancelled due to the new COVID restrictions.

Here are a few pictures of the first cruise night event which took place Thursday evening.
